In order to stimulate the enthusiasm of the center's nursing staff to participate in the creation of health science and to promote health education, as well as discover and cultivate excellent talents in health, the Department of Nursing recently held a series of activities on 5.12 Nurses' Day. One is the PK of medical knowledge in the Center for the Promotion of Students' Mental Health. More than 50 people attended the meeting, including the heads of the Quality Control Department, Science and Education Department, Editorial Department, Nursing Department, and the head nurses and nursing experts of each nursing unit.
In the preparation stage, all nursing units responded positively. They started one brainstorming session after another around what kind of popularization of medical science is necessary for patients and their families and how to make medical terminologies more understandable. Finally, 19 works were submitted, with 2 videos, 2 sitcoms, and 15 presentations given on-site.
At the competition site, the contestants showed creative ideas to simplify the obscure medical knowledge. There were clear explanations, innovative videos, and vivid scenarios. In a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere, the audience was able to grasp basic medical knowledge and get rid of the cognitive misunderstandings.
After the competition, the judge commented on the competition. They fully recognized the demonstration of the contestants and highlighted the presentation. At the same time, they also pointed out that the content needs to be improved, such as further simplification, how to make it more understandable, as well as easy to learn and use.
One first prize, three second prizes, and six third prizes were finally selected. The winners will be recognized and awarded at the “5.12” International Nurses' Day Recognition Conference.
Healthy China, popularization of science first. The Nursing Department will continue to work on outreach themes. Guided by patients' needs and health, it will actively drive the nursing team to create and promote high-quality work in nursing and health care to improve its level of health education.
